Contains the PowerPoint presentations, course notebook, web links, handouts and other documents associated with the March 17-21, 2008 Leading the Recreation Program (8300-10) class in Phoenix, AZ for the following modules:   Module 1 - Overview of Recreation and Visitor Services - philosophy, trends, new horizons, Purple Book, and roles of outdoor recreation planner.  Module 2 - Career development - competencies, BLM career paths, EPAP, IDP development, and training plans.  Module 3 - Your leadership roles in community outreach and partnership building.  Module 6 - Recreation tools such as knowledge management, Module 7 - Overview of visitor services and resource protection, and  Module 8 - PE codes and alternative funding.  The planning and recreation permits modules are located in other competencies.
