This site contains the final training needs assessment for National Scenic and Historic Trails (NSHT) conducted in 2007-2008.

This assessment was guided by the Federal Interagency Council on Trails pursuant to the National Trails System Act, the National Trails System MOU, and EO 13195.  A team will convene on June 3-4, 2008 to develop a training strategy based on the gaps between existing and desired skills. Recommendations will be forwarded to agency and organizational leaders for NSHT.
