What is a 360° Assessment?

What is a 360-degree assessment tool? A 360° assessment takes its name from the 360-degrees in a circle. The idea is to gather information from a circle of people most familiar with the participant. For supervisors, this circle will include themselves, their supervisor, peers, and subordinates. It may also include customers and suppliers who come into contact with the participant.

The results provide the participant with a behaviorally-based picture of how others' view his or her leadership competencies.
