Development & Training Employee Orientation Handbook Overview |

All new employees receive the Orientation: Employee Handbook from their servicing personnel office upon accepting a position. The handbook provides answers to many personnel and administrative questions. Think of the handbook as a reference guide. It is not a book you will sit down and read all at once. But as questions arise, you can look up the answers by using the Table of Contents as your guide. The Orientation: Employee Handbook is available at www.ntc.blm.gov/leadership/orientation. (Use your browser's back button to return to this page). Accompanying the handbook is a video titled Employee Orientation Video Series. The video is not intended to be viewed at one sitting, but rather viewed throughout your first few months on the job. It highlights many BLM programs as well as BLM's relationship with the Department of the Interior and other federal agencies. Viewing this video will help you better understand the complex mission of the bureau and how you fit into the organization. If you use the online version of the handbook,
check with your servicing personnel office to see if they have copies of
the video you can have or borrow. You can also order the video
directly from NTC by clicking the "About the Employee Orientation
Video" choice on the menu bar below. |
