With 50% of all BLM employees and 80% of managers becoming eligible for retirement in 2007, the need for mentoring has never been greater. It is critical that employees learn to use mentors to gain insight on historical knowledge, enhance career development opportunities, network effectively and become BLM's future mentors.
The purpose of this site is to help meet the Bureau's needs by providing one-stop shopping for mentoring. There are many definitions and processes which have already been developed and are currently in use. A group of BLM managers and key staff have reviewed these other sites and are relaying the key points and site locations for your reference.
