This Visual Resource Management (8400-04) training was delivered in conjunction with the River Management Society & Society of Outdoor Recreation Planners conference. Scenic/ visual resources are integral to both river–based and upland recreation opportunities and experience. Despite its importance, management and protection of this resource can be challenging to land managers. To address this topic, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM, National Park Service and US Forest Service provided a 4-day visual resources / scenery management training and track as part of the RMS/SORP conference.
