DSPN Academy
The Decision Support/Planning/NEPA Academy (DSPN Academy) provided an opportunity for decision makers, planning & environmental coordinators, and resource specialists at all skill levels, to get up to date information and best management practices on the Decision Support, Planning, and NEPA programs at the NTC in January of 2020.
The DSPN Academy sessions were live-streamed and recorded in order to maximize the number of attendees. Course attendees, both virtual and in-person, could share their best management practices and to learn tools and tips from other NEPA practitioners from across the BLM.
The DSPN was a four-day course covering topics in Decision Support (AIM, CADR, Socioeconomics, and Geospatial programs), Planning (Writing an RMP Prep Plan, etc.) and NEPA (Effective use of Tiering and Incorporation by Reference), and Planning and NEPA Administration (Improvements to Planning & NEPA Business Practices.
The sessions presented at the DSPN have been categorized into five categories, Plenary Sessions, Brainstorming, Planning, NEPA, and Planning and NEPA Administration.
