This page contains resources for inspectors and managers in the Fluid Minerals program to learn about implementing and using mobile devices in the field. Available are ‘How To’ videos and documents, referenced materials, and links to websites. Additional training aids, task specific training, links, and other information will be added as developed.
The AFMSS 2 development team is working on a mobile app for field inspectors, including Petroleum Engineering Technician (PET), Natural Resource Specialist (NRS), Physical Scientist (PS), and Environmental Protection Specialist (EPS). Many visions and ideas for the application are under consideration. Survey123 versions of oil and gas inspection forms are used for testing and made available for general use as developed. These digital versions of inspection forms do not link to AFMSS, they replace the pen, paper, clipboard, and camera with a mobile device to produce a clean readable inspection form for the files.
