BLM policy (WO IM 2009-166) for purchasing environmentally preferable products was issued in July 2009. The responsiblity for implementing the BLM's plan lies not within any single organization, but with every person involved in the acquisition process. Whenver you or your staff purchases, equipment, services or construction, green purchasing requirements are applicable.
