Planning / NEPA Forum - Regional Mitigation (September 19, 2013)

Program Description: An expert panel reviewed terminology and legal authority for mitigation, introduced BLM's interim regional mitigation guidance as described in the draft Regional Mitigation Manual (MS-1794), presented a framework to begin a regional mitigation strategy, discussed how to overcome potential challenges, presented the Offsite Mitigation Strategy for the Dry Lake Solar Energy Zone in Nevada, and answered questions from the audience.

Target Audience: BLM employees and key stakeholders who are working on, or are interested in, a regional approach to implementing offsite mitigation for BLM projects.
