The National Training Center offered a modified ‘Travel and Transportation Process for Managers’ course designed specifically for staff at the Bureau of Land Management National Operations Center (BLM-NOC). This introductory course provided an overview of Travel and Transportation Management aimed at BLM-NOC personnel that assist with BPA and GIS services. The class introduced the subject by defining travel and transportation management, the roles of the various disciplines, pre and post RMP planning, and the distinction between land use planning and implementation level decisions. Furthermore, the class introduced new topics and policy changes covered in the forthcoming Travel and Transportation Management Manual Section (MS-1626) revision.
